Forest hike to the historic Kåtabo cabin
Explore the boreal forest by foot and hike the old logging trail up the mountain. Delight in a picturesque woodland lake, the peaceful forest, and the beautiful view from the top overlooking Råstrand village.
This is a mostly off-trail hike following the footsteps of logging horses. Enjoy a Swedish fika by the fire in the unique lumberjack cabin while learning about its history from our local guide.

What to bring

This activity takes place in the forest off-trail and includes crossing peatlands. For added stability, hiking poles are available for rent. A short safety briefing including pole fitting will be performed before the hike begins.
The tour takes place in most weathers – as the Swedes say: “There are no bad weathers, just bad clothes!”
