Hi, I'm Erika!
I grew up here in the village and enjoyed a childhood of cross country skiing, snow mobiling, and roaming the forest. After I finished school I moved abroad to discover other places and cultures, but after being away for over a decade I missed Sweden and moved back home with my fiance, dogs, and cat in 2024. There is something special about the Scandinavian wilderness that always called me home.

Back to basics
We now live in the house my great-grandfather built in 1934, grow our own potatoes, and heat the house with firewood just like they did. We can walk across the road and pick berries, go snowmobiling or paddleboarding onto the Vindel bay straight from our yard, and always enjoy the complete quiet and peace that comes from living here.
It is easy to take things for granted when you are used to them, so being away for so long definitely makes me appreciate the beautiful location I grew up in more. It has been a lot of fun rediscovering my old places, and also finding new spots and activities.

Sustainability
Reducing waste and preserving our beautiful nature are of great importance to me. I use cloth napkins and wooden cups, locally foraged berries in the juice, firewood from our own forest, and eggs from a small farm in the village for the pastries.
In Sweden we have "The Right of Public Access", which gives everyone the freedom to enjoy the outdoors. This is an amazing unique right, that allows you to camp, forage, and roam for free as long as you respect nature and wildlife and practice leave no trace.
But just because you have the right to roam, does not mean you know where to go or what to do! That is where a local guide can help you by showing you the places you wouldn't find otherwise or the activities you wouldn't know how to do or have the equipment for on your own.

Moving around as much as I did taught me to never stop exploring where you live. You can usually find more than you think around you if you just look! The below small adventures from the last few years were never more than a few hours away.
